Letter From SJ

Dear Dr. Shaw:

My mother died three years ago and I’ve been having a difficult time dealing with her death. Everyone around tell me I should be over her death but it has been difficult. At time, I am unable to go to work or out of the house because I just can’t stop crying? What can I do?

Letter From TP

Dear Dr. Shaw:

I’m a 26 year old male throughout the last four years, I noticed that as the season change from fall to winter I’ve noticed myself becoming increasingly depressed and irritable. My girlfriend tell me it’s just me being “too moody” but honestly it just seems like I have no control over my life during the winter season. Any suggestions?

Letter From Lonely

Dear Dr. Shaw:

I am a fifty-year old woman who recently moved to the Los Angeles area. My son married two years ago and is currently living in Illinois. I’ve been divorced now for fifteen years and have experienced tremendous difficulty establishing new relationships. Most of my free time is spent at the movies or alone. I don’t know what to do with my life, but I desire to have a more fulfilling life than what I currently have. I am very lonely and desire new friendships. Do you have any suggestions?
